Napa Racing Kingman Street Drags VI  It's official. September 18,19,and 20, 2009 downtown Kingman will again be turned into the "Worlds Largest Legal Street Drags". If last year is a sign of what to expect this year, then participants and spectators alike better get here early. We had a record 246 participants last year and the weekend crowd was estimated at over 15,000 spectators. This year we will open up the weekend with the traditional Friday registration and pre- event party. Friday night we have added in a new twist. We will hold the burn out contest starting at 5:30pm. The whole idea is to get some rubber down on the street for the racers. Friday night will be free to all spectators. All weekend race participant receive an entry into the burn out contest but it will be open for anyone who does not wish to race for the weekend to enter too. Saturday's Drag Racing will open at 10:00am with all day racing until 8:00pm. This year in conjunction with the Kingman Down Town Merchants Association Saturday will be turned into a complete down town block party. There will be a car and motorcycle show held simultaneously with the races and after 8:00pm there will be live music and dancing for everyone. Sunday begins at 10am with a second day of racing for all fans and participants. We will crown all class winners and the burn out contest winners that afternoon.
