The Tourism Committee is comprised of local businessmen and women who have an interest in promoting tourism and an understanding of just how important it is for their businesses to be a part of the overall picture in their community.

Mission Statement


To expand tourism related activities in the Kingman region in order to enhance the economy and to attract and serve the traveling public along the Interstate 40 corridor, Highway 93 and Historic Route 66.


Goals


1  To develop awareness that “Tourism Is Everyone’s Business” by promoting and educating the public on the value of tourism.
 
2  To distribute promotional materials, using radio, television, print, website and outdoor advertising and trade shows.
 
3  To establish partnerships with surrounding attractions and form tour and recreational packages for the Kingman area.
 
4  To research and implement strategies to capture a larger share of the tourism market by enhancing the image of Kingman and the surrounding area.
 
5  To promote and develop community and regional events.
 
6  To stay apprised of legislative governmental issues relating directly to tourism through communication with state offices, city council and ETDC.


Meeting Info

The Committee meets on the first Tuesday of every month, at 7:30 a.m. at Calico’s Restaurant located at 418 West Beale Street.
